Highlights from the fourth Science for Kids conference, celebrating young scientists, science reporters, and a musical AI experiment.
The fourth Science for kids conference received a lot of media coverage! Below are our favorites, featuring national TV appearances, interviews for magazines and newspapers, and most importantly some viral social media moments:)

“Ivan Kjostarov” award for outstanding science potential
Winner: Zoran Ilijoski (prize: 30,000 denars)

1. NasaTV (video), Umno.mk (text) and Nebojsa Gelevski-Bane (photos) documented the first day of the conference, featuring our plenary speakers Angela Tuneska, Sofija Petkovska and Dea Ivanov. Angela spoke about the physics of AI, Sofija presented about antibiotics resistance, and Dea explained the similarities between yeast and cancer.









2. Deutsche Welle in Macedonian visited us on the second day of the conference and asked the children what is AI.
3. Dragana Stikova was interviewed by the Macedonian portals Umno and Republika.
4. Nikola Stikov, Mihail Tamburkovski and the robot dog AVVI spoke about the conference in the studio of national TV Telma.
5. The oldest Macedonian newspaper Nova Makedonija interviewed Kaja Trpkovski,
the winner of the poster competition dedicated to Dutch science

6. Nasa TV documented our workshops in collaboration with NOVA International School
7. Aleksandar Dinev made a viral TikTok video about the award for science reporting Kolega Stikov. This year the award went to Aleksandar Murik for his outstanding video about Einstein’s miracle year

8. And finally, our AI workshop produced a song! Nikola Perevski and Macedonian band Nokaut collaborated with Nikola Stikov to create the music, lyrics and video for their new single “Ima li pilot vo pesnata?” (Who is flying this song?). Enjoy!
